A Brand Operated By NovaBiz, LLC

Last Updated: 01/27/2026

By accessing this website, booking services, or receiving services from MapleLawn Cleaning Services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not book or use our services.

1. Company Information & Definitions

  • “NovaBiz LLC,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to NovaBiz LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Maryland.

  • “MapleLawn Cleaning Services” refers to the cleaning brand operated by NovaBiz LLC.

  • “Services” refers to residential and select light commercial cleaning services, including hourly services where offered.

  • “Client,” “you,” or “your” refers to any individual or entity booking or receiving services.

2. Scope of Services

MapleLawn Cleaning Services provides cleaning services within designated service areas. All services are subject to availability, acceptance, and these Terms.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if conditions are unsafe, booking information is inaccurate, utilities are unavailable (as needed), or client conduct is abusive, inappropriate, or threatening.

3. Independent Contractors & Third-Party Cleaners

Services provided under the MapleLawn Cleaning Services brand may be performed by independent contractors or third-party cleaning professionals engaged by NovaBiz LLC. These contractors are not employees of NovaBiz LLC.

MapleLawn Cleaning Services coordinates scheduling, billing, and service quality standards on behalf of NovaBiz LLC.

Cleaning professionals are subject to an onboarding and screening process, which may include identity verification, experience review, reference checks, and compliance with service standards. Screening processes may vary and do not constitute a guarantee of performance or conduct.

NovaBiz LLC, operating as MapleLawn Cleaning Services, remains your primary point of contact for service-related questions or concerns.

4. Booking, Arrival Window, Pricing & Payment

Booking & Payment

  • Services must be booked in advance.

  • Payment is due as outlined at the time of booking.

  • Charges may appear on your bank or credit card statement as “NovaBiz LLC.”

  • Receipts are sent to the email address used at booking.

Arrival Window

Your scheduled service time includes an arrival window of up to +/- 60 minutes to accommodate traffic and scheduling variables. If we expect to be outside this window, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.

Pricing Accuracy & Adjustments

Prices quoted are based on the information provided by the Client at booking. If, upon arrival, the size, condition, or scope of the property materially differs from the booking details (including but not limited to square footage, level of dirt, number of rooms, pets, or access limitations), we will discuss the difference with you and provide a revised price.

Service will continue only after Client approval of the revised price.

Our goal is transparency—no surprise charges. We always confirm changes with you before proceeding.

5. Hourly Services

If you book an hourly service, you agree that:

  • Hourly services are billed by the hour at the rate shown at booking.

  • The scope completed depends on the time booked and priorities identified.

  • Booking type (hourly vs. flat-rate service) generally cannot be changed after service has begun without our approval.

Client Present During Hourly Service

If you are present during an hourly service, it is your responsibility to communicate priorities and to advise when you would like the service to end at the conclusion of your booked hours. Additional time beyond the booked hours may be billed if you request continued service.

Client Not Present During Hourly Service

If you are not present, we may contact you near completion of the booked time. If additional time is needed, you may approve additional hours. If additional time is not approved, we will complete as much as possible within the booked hours and focus on priority areas.

6. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Lockouts

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled service time.

  • Cancellations within 24 hours will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

  • Same-day cancellations, no-shows, or failure to provide access may be charged up to 100% of the service cost.

  • If our team arrives and cannot access the property due to lockout/inaccessibility, the visit may be treated as a late cancellation/no-show.

7. Refunds, Service Satisfaction & Re-Clean Policy

Refunds

MapleLawn Cleaning Services does not offer refunds for completed services, except in cases of verified billing error, duplicate charge, or failure to perform agreed services.

Re-Clean Policy (Exclusive Remedy)

If you are dissatisfied, you must notify us within 24 hours of the service start time (or, if later, within 24 hours of service completion) to request review.

If reported within the timeframe, we may, at our discretion, offer a free re-clean of the specific missed area(s) as the exclusive remedy.

To be eligible for a re-clean, the Client must provide:

  1. A written list of the specific area(s) missed, and

  2. Clear photos of the area(s) of concern.

Any areas not identified within the 24-hour window may not be eligible for re-clean. Re-cleans are limited to missed areas from the original scope and do not include new tasks or additional services unless separately approved and charged.

Re-cleans are typically scheduled within 24–48 hours, subject to availability, and the Client must provide access.

Post-Service Confirmation

If you confirm satisfaction with the service by text, email, or phone, we may treat the service as accepted. Acceptance may limit eligibility for a re-clean request, except where required by law.

8. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks

If you believe a charge was made in error, you agree to contact MapleLawn Cleaning Services directly to attempt resolution before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer.

Refund requests related to billing errors, duplicate charges, or service concerns will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting MapleLawn Cleaning Services may result in delayed resolution and may be considered a violation of these Terms.

Repeated or bad-faith chargebacks may result in termination of service.

Fraudulent, abusive, or unwarranted chargebacks may also result in recovery of any fees incurred by NovaBiz LLC, as permitted by law.

9. Receipts

Receipts are automatically emailed after successful payment to the email address provided during booking. If you do not receive a receipt, you may request one from us. Receipts will only be sent to the email address used at booking.

10. Gift Cards

Gift cards may be redeemed for services but are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash except as required by law. Unused balances may be applied to future services. Gift cards should be kept secure; lost or stolen codes may not be replaceable.

11. Pets & Animals

Clients are responsible for ensuring pets are secured, restrained, or safely separated from cleaning areas during service.

We do not clean pet waste, litter boxes, or bodily fluids (including urine/feces/vomit). If present, we will clean around the area and may pause or discontinue service if conditions are unsafe or unsanitary.

MapleLawn Cleaning Services and NovaBiz LLC are not responsible for:

  • Pet behavior, including aggression or interference with service

  • Escape of pets due to doors being opened during normal cleaning activities

  • Damage caused by pets during or after service

If a pet presents a safety concern or significantly interferes with service, we reserve the right to modify, pause, or discontinue service. Additional charges may apply if service time is extended due to pet-related interruptions.

12. Property Access & Keys

If you provide keys, access codes, lockbox information, garage access, or permit unattended access, you do so at your discretion.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate access instructions

  • Updating access details as needed

  • Securing valuables, sensitive documents, and fragile items

We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage resulting from incorrect access information or unsecured property.

13. Non-Solicitation of Cleaning Professionals

During the term of service and for twelve (12) months following the last date of service, you agree not to directly or indirectly solicit, hire, contract with, or engage any cleaning professional introduced through MapleLawn Cleaning Services outside of MapleLawn Cleaning Services.

Violation of this provision may result in a reasonable referral or placement fee or other remedies permitted by law.

14. Supplies, Requests During Service & Service Limitations

Supplies

We provide standard cleaning supplies and equipment. If you request a specific product, you must inform us before service. We may decline to use products that are unsafe, unlabeled, or likely to damage surfaces.

Requests During Service

Cleaning professionals follow the scope of work selected at booking. Additional tasks requested at the time of service must be approved by MapleLawn Cleaning Services and may require additional charges or rescheduling.

Service Limitations

We do not provide:

  • Biohazard or hoarding cleanup

  • Mold remediation

  • Pest control

  • Heavy lifting beyond standard household items

  • Ladder work beyond two steps

We reserve the right to stop service if conditions are unsafe.

15. Before & After Photos

We may take limited before-and-after photos of cleaned areas for quality control and dispute resolution. Photos will not intentionally include personal identifiers (such as faces, mail, or sensitive documents).

If you prefer no photos, you must notify us before service begins; however, this may limit our ability to resolve disputes.

16. Damage & Liability

  • Any claims for damage must be reported within 24 hours of service completion.

  • Liability is limited to the cost of the service performed.

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, improperly installed items, or fragile items not disclosed in advance.

17. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, power outages, or government actions.

18. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
